The Panasonic TX26LMD70 sets new standards for 26in LCD TVs in its class. There are more accomplished screens out there at the moment, but none that offer this level of performance for the price.

First impressions indicate that the TX26LMD70 is as accomplished as its older, higher spec brothers. High Definition is again outstanding with colours that are the richest we have ever seen on a 26in LCD, and a sharpness and vibrancy that is simply unmatched on any comparable flat panel TV.

Marking it out as something special, the TX26LMD70 is a superb performer when it comes to Standard Definition sources. We simply haven't seen pictures as clean and crisp as these on any other LCD screen for this price to date. In fact, at a distance, you have to stare at the screen for some time before you realise you are watching SD rather than HD

The new Panasonic range of LCD TVs is setting new standards for flat panel performance, and its nice to see that the lower spec models are offering a level of performance that will make you think twice before splashing out on models higher up the range.
