Recognizing the popularity of Freeview and Personal Video Recorders (PVR's) the Korean manufacturer LG has launched a range of LCD TV's with the functionality of these technologies built-in.
With supreme ease of use, PVR's have become a popular item to purchase alongside an LCD TV. A PVR in a nutshell is a device for the recording of digital TV on computer-like hard drive. With a built-in Electronic programming Guide (EPG) all a user need do is locate a programme within an easy to navigate 'programme menu' and click to record.
LG's built-in PVR sports a 160GB hard drive, which has the ability to store around 80 hours of Standard Definition TV. With two tuners, you can watch one channel and record another.
With features such 'series link' (allowing you to record all episodes of a particular series) and accurate start times (which compensates for late start of programmes, the LT75 LCD's form LG offer more than basic PVR functionality.
LG currently offer the LT75 series in 32in, 37in or 42in sizes.
