With a subtle change to their normally conservative styling, Sony are making their new E4000 series of LCD TV's available in a range of colours designed to sit more comfortably in a contemporary or traditional domestic environment.

The E4000 comes with the option of Midnight Sky, Aluminium, Pearly White and Dark Walnut frames, offering consumers across a broad spectrum of stylistic tastes something to fit into their own environment.

Sony's Marketing and Product Planning Vice President, Hiroshi Sakamoto said "Once again Sony is reinventing ideas about your television’s role in the living room." "The BRAVIA E4000 series blurs boundaries between consumer electronics and fine art. This innovative, gorgeously styled television set looks as good on your wall as the pictures it displays."

Along with the new W4000 series from Sony, the 26in 32in and 40in Full HD E4000 series feature Picture Frame mode which allows the E4000 series to act as electronic 'picture frames' when not in use, scrolling through pre-installed images or taking photos from an onboard USB.

Expect the E4000 series to arrive on these shores towards the end of summer. No word as yet on prices.
