Vying for the title of prettiest LCD TV around, the newly introduced 9600 series of from Philips is also a technological showcase for the Dutch electronics giant.

The latest incarnation of Philips picture processing engine, Perfect Pixel HD makes its debut and the 9600 series also gets 100Hz Clear LCD technology along with a 2ms response time.

Philips impressive 'Ambilight' technology has been further developed for the 9600 series. Ambilight 'Spectra' makes its first appearance, enhancing the screens motion handling performance by adjusting the LED response time depending on the on-screen action.

With a claimed contrast ratio of 30,000:1, 4 HDMI's and 12 bit colour the 9600 series ticks all the right boxes in terms of specification.

Available in the UK this June, the 32PFL9603D, 37PFL9603D, 42PFL9603D and 47PFL9603D will retail for £999, £1,499, £1,799 and £1,999 respectively.
