With their 46in LT-46SL89 and 42in LT-42SL89 LCD TV's, JVC are aiming to have the last word in slim LCD TV design, for now at least.

At around 1.5in at their slimmest point JVC's SL89 series of LCD's are once again making a name for JVC in the super slim flat panel arena. What's more, these TV's have built in digital tuners, so no other additional bits of kit to interrupt the minimal look of your living space.

An innovative backlight goes much of the way to explain the impressive weight loss, with JVC achieving a 40% reduction in size over traditional backlight systems.

The 46in LT-46SL89 and 42in LT-42SL89 will be launched in Japan this July at around £950 and £1250 respectively. No word yet as to if or when we will see these screens in the UK, but coming in at not a great deal wider than the SL89 series, JVC already offer a couple of super slim flat panels here in the shape of the 42in LT-42DS9 and 46in LT-46DS9.
