Sony Z4500 LCD TV now in the UK

Sony's innovative Z4500 series LCD TV's with 200Hz refresh rate are now available in UK stores.

Mathematical algorithms calculate the placement of three additional frames for every original, increasing the frame rate from the standard 50 to 200fps (frames per second)..

Designed to compliment 200Hz and Sony's BRAVIA Engine 2, 'Image Blur Reduction' has been designed to further enhance the motion handling capabilities of the new screens. Sony seem confident of the Z4500's abilities, stating that it; "provides the smoothest and crispest motion reproduction to be achieved by an LCD TV."

The BRAVIA Z4500 is DLNA™ Certified (Digital Living Network Alliance), allowing it to be seamlessly networked with other DLNA™ Certified devices within the home. DLNA technology brings with it a number of exiting possibilities; it will allow users, for example, to stream multimedia content from their PCs.

Elsewhere the Z4500 has a Full HD resolution along with a claimed 80,000:1 contrast ratio. Advanced Contrast Enhancer analyses each scene, adjusting the backlighting level for subtle gradation and deeper blacks.

Sony's intuitive 'XrossMediaBar' menu system (first seen on the PS3 games console) displays your connections in easy-to-understand groups such as Photos, Digital TV, Analogue TV and Input Devices.

Available in 40in, 46in and 52in sizes, the Z4500 series LCD TV's are in UK stores now.
