Sky TV on the move with Go!View

Owners of Sony's PSP portable media player/games console can now sign up to the Sky backed Go!View service to download a selection of films shows and sports programmes.

Users can choose to rent films or individual episodes of TV shows or alternately pay £5/month for either the 'Entertainment', 'Sports' or 'Comedy' Pack which gives a selection of content (£8 for two of the packs or £10 for all three). Content comes from the BBC worldwide service as well as Sky.

A 90 minute film currently weighs in at around 600MB while a 45 minute show will require around 300MB of storage space. Like any other video file you can rewind or fast forward clips.

Films such as 'Doomesday or 'In Bruges' are currently available for rent at £3.50 each. Individual episode of 'Heroes' are currently available to rent for £1.50. Films must be watched within 7 days and TV shows within 28 days before they are locked.

Having installed a 14MB application, users can then select and download content to their PSP. Further details are available at the Go!View website.
