Panasonic's Freesat enabled V10 LCD TV's

Expanding their range of Freesat enabled LCD TV's, Panasonic have introduced their high end V10 series which adds a host of interesting features in addition to the built-in free-to-air satellite receiver.

Panasonic were the first to offer built-in access to 'Freesat', and are adding the service to an increasing number of TV's in their 2009 LCD and Plasma range.

Freesat is a free (no subscription) digital TV satellite service which offers over 140 digital TV and radio channels. The service was launched on 6th May 2008 as a joint venture between the BBC and ITV.

With a long list of innovative features the V10 series offers a great deal more than built-in Freesat . DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) makes it easier to integrate your electrical entertainment appliances as part of a home network. Viewing your still JPEG holiday snaps stored on a PC through your TV is just one of the many benefits DLNA brings.

Viera Cast is Panasonic's solution to enable internet content to be viewed directly from your TV. The Viera Cast button on the TV's remote takes you directly to Panasonic's online content where you can for example watch YouTube videos or look up stock quotes. The content is limited when you compare it to the web as a whole but the feature is a useful first foray into Web enabled TV technology.

Panasonic's 100Hz Intelligent Frame Creation (IFC) technology doubles the number of frames shown every second from 50 frames/sec to 100 frames/sec. This increase in frame count has been designed to allow more natural frame-to-frame transitions. IFC can be set to 'High', 'Medium' or switched off altogether.

Panasonic's V-real Picture Processing Engine now comes in the shape of V-real 4. The V10 comes with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a healthy 4 HDMI inputs.

The V10 series comes in the shape of the 32in Viera TX-L32V10 and the 37in Viera TX-L37V10.
