Thursday, 27 August 2009 09:00 UK

Joining a growing throng of broadcasters planning to release material in the format, Channel 4 have announced a week of programmes in 3D, which will include previously unseen footage of the Queen's coronation in 1953.

As part of their Autumn schedule Channel 4 will air two one hour-long shows, The Queen in 3D. The documentaries tell the story of Bob Angell and Arthur Wooster, who filmed 3D newsreel covering the monarch in 1953.

Also included in the 3D line up will be a Derren Brown 3D Magic Spectacular, in which the magician will perform tricks specially shot in 3D along with the Greatest Ever 3D Moments, which will reveal the top ten 3D moments from television, film and pop videos.

In the run up to the week of 3D programmes, Sainsbury's will be giving away free 3D glasses on behalf of Channel 4.
