With the more sophisticated direct backlighting implementation of LED technology and 3D enabled, LG's new INFINIA range has just about everything you could want from a TV.
The INFINIA range comprises the 7000, 8000, 9000 series and 47in flagship LE9500. At just 6.9mm (8.5mm for the 9500) deep, they employ direct LED backlighting with 240 dimmable zones rather than an edge based implementation of the technology.
If that wasn't enough to whet your appetite, the 9500 model is 3D ready, compatible with Sky's new 3D channel when it goes on line this Spring.
When the INFINIA range arrives in the UK it will have a built in Freeview HD tuner along with Ethernet port, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The new screens also feature LG's 'broadband TV' functionality, which gives access to Skype, VUDU, YouTube, Netflix and Google's Picasa service.
The INFINIA range from LG is due to reach these shores some time in the second half of 2010.
