Sony LED, LCD and 3D enabled 2010 TV product range

Sony LX903

With a stunning range of LCD TV's for 2010, Sony are aiming to re-assert themselves as the premier flat panel TV producer.

While the entire range is unmistakably 'Sony', the 2010 line up features a new 'Monolithic' design theme.

Higher end screens are 3D capable straight out of the box, while Sony describe other models as '3D ready', an optional 3D transmitter and glasses required for the full 3D experience.

All but entry level models feature Freeview HD tuners and consumers will have a wide choice of LED enabled LCD TV's across the model range.

First up is the flagship Signature range which features the leviathan 60in KDL-60LX903 and 40in KDL-40LX903.

These range topping TV's come with Edge based LED backlighting, Wi-Fi internet access, Freeview HD tuner, 200Hz and Full HD 3D capability.

Built-in Wi-Fi provides access to Sony's web portal, internet widgets and DLNA-enabled devices.

The signature range will be available in the UK this June. Prices for the 60in KDL-60LX903 and 40in KDL-40LX903 will be £3500 and £2000 respectively.

The Cinematic range features 46in and 52in KDL-HX903 models alongside the 40in and 46in KDL-HX803.

Sony HX903

The HX903 screens come with the more sophisticated 'local dimming' implementation of LED backlighting. They also get Motionflow 200Hz PRO, Image Blur Reduction and OptiContrast panel. Both screens are Full HD 3D-ready.

Available this June, the 46in and 52in HX903 models will be priced at £2199 and £2500 respectively.

The HX803 gets the less sophisticated 'Edge' based implementation of LED backlighting.

Available this June, the 40in and 46in HX803 models will be priced at £1400 and £1600 respectively.

Next up is the Presence range which features the 40in and 50in KDL-NX803 and the 40in and 46in KDL-NX703.

Sony NX803

The NX803 comes with Built-in Wi-Fi, providing access to Sony's web portal, internet widgets and DLNA-enabled devices. There is also Motionflow 200Hz, Image Blur Reduction along with Deep Black panel and edge LED backlighting.

Available this March/April, the 40in and 50in NX803 models will be priced at £1600 and £2299 respectively.

The NX703 loses 200Hz Motionflow for the 100Hz implementation of the technology.

Available this March/April, the 40in and 46in NX703 models will be priced at £1300 and £1700 respectively.

Last up is Sony's 'bread and butter' Essential range.

Sony EX503

The KDL-EX703 is available in 32in, 40in, 46in, 52in, 60in sizes. Prices range from £900 for the 32in screen to £2800 for the 60in screen. All models in the range feature Edge LED screens, they are Wi-Fi ready (optional dongle required). There is also a Presence Sensor along with Motionflow 100Hz.

The KDL-EX603 will be available in 32in and 40in screen sizes priced at £800 and £949 respectively. The range loses 100Hz MotionFlow and the Presence Sensor functionality.

The KDL-EX503 features 32in, 37in, 40in, 46in and 55in models priced at £700, £800, £900, £1200 and £1698 respectively. The screens are non LED.

The KDL-EX403 features 32in, 37in, 40in and 46in screens priced at £550, £650, £750 and £999 respectively. The range loses 100Hz refresh rate.

The KDL-EX43B feature 32in and 40in screens with built-in Blu-ray players. Available in May the 32in screen will retail for £750 while the 40in model comes in at £900.
